Richard Stallman is American software free- dom activist, programmer. He started the free software movement and in October 1985, set up the Free Foundation. The Foundation aims to promote the universal freedom to distribute and modify computer software without restriction. He has also developed a number of pieces of used software.



History Of Computer Games:


A.S. Douglas wrote his phD thesis at the university of Cambridge on the interactive between human beings and computers, and to demonstrate this, created the first graphical computer game, a version of Tic-Tac-Toe in 1952.

However the first game intended to be played on home computers was ‘Space war’, which was developed in 1962. In this game there were two space-ships, which were controlled by two players. Something Interesting.

Today computer Games are becoming more and more sophisticated. Game types like combat games, strategy, simulation and dragons, which were invented in the 60’s are still alive today and probably more popular than ever. It’s true.


Tennis for Two


The first video game designed by William Higginbotham in 1958. He intended it to be entertainment for visitor’s days at Brookhaven National Laboratory. It was a game for two players, and called ‘Tennis for Two’, in the 1950’s, most of the exhibits were static displays. Higginbotham who was the head of the Instrumentation Division, said it occurred to him that ‘it might liven up the place to have a game that people could play and which would convey the message that our scientific Endeavour’s have relevance for society’.

Nolan Bushnell inventor of the computer game ‘Pong’ and the founder of Atari are rightly considered the ‘father of electronic Gaming’. Growing up in Utah in the 1940’s his early inspirations included a third-grade science project on electricity.

Bushnell went to invented his first computerized video game, ‘Computer Space, in 1970. The next year, he invented Pong. After Pong Success, Bushnell Founded Atari in 1972 with the help of his friend Ted Dabney. The Next few years later the game produced by Bushnell’s company.
